Raised in Switzerland, then graduating from Paris University, Bertrand’s career started with an elite investment bank that sent him straight to Hong Kong. From there his banker’s life took him to the greatest financial capital cities of the world. When we finally was called back to the bank’s headquarter after 10 years, he decided to opt for a less reasonable path and undertook photography. His new career began with assisting prominent photographers in Germany, the USA and France. After 3 years of this intensive training, he started his own freelance practice in fashion. Now back to Asia, he wheels about in the world of fashion, beauty and lifestyle photography. Contributing to fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, Bertrand also works for most 4As advertising agencies for brands like L’Oreal, Nivea, Wella, Opel, Schwarzkopf and Shanghai Tang. Bertrand’s work has been exhibited at Pin-Up Studio gallery in Paris and Ping Yao photo festival and his photos are credited in several books related to Fashion and Beauty.
