The work of Mobolaji Dawodu has informed the visual language of cosmopolitan life and style for more than a decade.
His editorials have appeared in i-D, Paper and Vanity Fair amongst other International titles. As longtime Style Editor at large of The Fader, Mobolaji’s sophisticated mix of street casting and art direction on location in more than 25 countries have defined the overall look of the publication, pushing it to ground-breaking heights.
On a commercial level, Mobolaji’s portfolio ranges from Apple’s innovative ‘Silhouettes’ shot by Mark Romanek, to style direction for The African Game – Puma’s celebration of soccer culture on the continent.
Mobolaji has had the pleasure of styling many respected recording artists including Kelis, Solange and The Black Eyed Peas. Commercially he has been commissioned by KENZO, Nike, Sony, Converse and Dr. Martens to style, cast and consult on campaigns.
Mobolaji was costume designer for 2013 Sundance Award winning film Mother of George and 2011s Restless City (Andrew Dosunmu).
